We have a vision to see healthy Anglican churches across the whole of England.

For this we need a whole new generation of gospel workers – pastors, pastoral workers, evangelists, youth workers, those in early retirement, and bi-vocational workers. Who would this conference benefit in our churches?

We recognise that men and women need help navigating the best way for them to serve the Lord Jesus. Questions you might be asking include:

– Is set-aside gospel ministry for me?
– What training do I need?
– How will this affect my family?
– What about the uncertainties in the Church of England?

We want to give you the best possible support as you work these things out for yourself.

More than that, we want to connect you with a whole network of the next generation of gospel workers who share this godly ambition of seeing people saved to the glory of God through thousands of healthy Anglican churches.

The conference will be open to anyone who comes with their church leader’s blessing.

Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch. There are a range of shops to buy this within short walking distance of the church.

9:30am – Arrival / doors open 

10:00am – ‘Why do gospel ministry?’ (George Diwakar, St Helen’s Bishopsgate)

11:00am – Coffee break

11:30am – ‘Guidance – how do I decide what to do?’ (George Diwakar, St Helen’s Bishopsgate)

12.30pm – Lunch with discussion groups. (Please bring you own lunch.)

1:30pm – Seminars:
a) Serving Jesus overseas/beyond the UK (Richard East, OMF)
b) Women’s pastoral ministry (Corinne Brixton, St John’s Downshire Hill)
c) Anglican gospel ministry and training pathways (Kieran Bush, St John’s Walthamstow)
(Alternatively, there will be people available for 121 conversations during the seminars should none of the above options be appropriate (e.g. if you are thinking about youth and children’s ministry, church administration, operations managers etc.) 

2:30pm – Coffee break & discussion groups

3:00pm – Mixed interview panel of men and women in different ministry settings

Speakers

Rich Alldritt (St Thomas Oakwood, London). Rich is the Vicar of St Thomas Oakwood, and regional leader of the Edmonton group in north London.
Corinne Brixton (St John’s Downshire Hill). Corinne has served at three different churches around the London area – all called St John’s – over the last thirty years since ordination. She currently serves as the Associate Minister for Women at London Diocese’s one remaining proprietary chapel. In her spare time, she enjoys catching up with the latest cinematic releases and writing books.
Kieran Bush (St John’s Walthamstow, Chelmsford). Kieran has been vicar of St John’s Walthamstow since 2015 and chairs the ReNew Planning Team. He has two boys, Isaac and Caleb and is married to Lydia. He has retired from playing hockey (badly) but remains a keen sports fan.
George Diwakar (St Helen’s Bishopsgate, London). After training at Oxford and Oak Hill, George helps to train associates at St Helen’s Bishopsgate, where he also oversees the RML John Bible study groups for their 6pm congregation.
Richard East (OMF). Sent out by several Anglican churches across the UK, Richard spent 10+ years serving with OMF International in Japan, most of those together with his wife Catherine. Now based in London, he serves OMF teams reaching East Asian people on the move globally.
