Youth and Children's Worker

About the Role

Located in the heart of the city with a heart for the whole city, Christ Church Central is a growing church seeking to appoint an experienced, part-time Youth and Children’s Worker. This is a new appointment and an exciting opportunity to plan, develop and lead the church’s ministry with young people aged 0-18 and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Forming and developing the church’s strategy to reach out to children and young people from our city centre location.
  • Supporting Christian families as they disciple their children.
  • Leading a large team of volunteers to deliver a Bible teaching programme to more than 80 children and young people.

We are looking for someone who can show:

  • A love for God, his word the Bible, and his people the church.
  • Christian maturity and the humility to keep learning.
  • Theological training from a Bible college or regional Gospel Partnership course.
  • A commitment to, and modelling of, the church’s safeguarding policy and promotion of the welfare of children and young people.

Salary £31,130 pro rata. There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a committed Christian in agreement with the doctrinal basis of the church.

The position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
